About the Journal

EL-IQTISHOD: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah is a professionally managed academic journal published by the Sharia Economics Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Aisyiyah Sulawesi Selatan (INASS).

The journal aims to provide an academic platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to disseminate research findings, theoretical studies, and critical perspectives. Its primary focus is the development of knowledge in the field of Islamic economics and related disciplines. However, the journal also welcomes relevant interdisciplinary studies that contribute to broader discussions on economics, finance, business, and sustainable development.

From 2017 to 2020, EL-IQTISHOD was published annually. Following the acquisition of its electronic International Standard Serial Number (E-ISSN), the journal adopted a biannual publication schedule starting in 2021. Since then, the journal has regularly published two issues each year, in May and November.

EL-IQTISHOD has been nationally accredited at SINTA 5 for the accreditation period covering the 2023–2027 publication years. This recognition reflects the journal’s commitment to improving the quality of its editorial management, peer-review process, and scholarly publications.

The journal experienced a technical disruption affecting the publication of its 2025 issues due to a malware-related security problem on the previous journal website. In addition, the publication of the May 2026 issue was delayed because of the transition from the former domain to a new domain. This migration was undertaken following an institutional foundation transition and the subsequent adjustment of the institution’s identity.

EL-IQTISHOD remains committed to strengthening its digital publication system, maintaining academic integrity, and providing a reliable platform for the dissemination of high-quality scholarly works.
